The London Wildlife Festival is a new and exciting urban wildlife event celebrating the conservation of Britain’s living world. It will be the capital’s largest ever event dedicated entirely to the extraordinary nature and wildlife of the UK.
The festival will include events and workshops, talks and debates. Events include yoga, mindfulness and wellbeing workshops as well as an opportunity to learn new crafts such as wildlife photography, birdwatching, pottery, floristry, landscape drawing and creative writing. There will also be cutting-edge talks on marine life, activism, conservation, living plastic-free and ways to make individual changes to collectively change the world around you.
Also happening on site will be art exhibitions, live music and literary events all inspired by nature and there will also be educational multi-media exhibitions and film screenings taking place across the site.
Volunteers at LWF
We’re inviting our fantastic volunteers to join us to assist with London Wildlife Festival. There will a variety roles including marshal, activity assistant, festival guide, warden, site guardian, and lead volunteers. Volunteers will also gain a FREE weekend ticket to the festival to enjoy around their volunteer shift!
The Festival will run over the weekend of 9th-11th August at Walthamstow Wetlands. There will be 5 volunteers shifts, you can choose to take part in one or multiple; Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon; plus an essential training and orienteering sessions in the run up.
As always food and travel will be reimbursed. Attending a LWF training session is necessary to take part.
