Our ten 19th and early 20th century operational reservoirs that make up Walthamstow Wetlands, supply 500million litres of water per day to around 3.5million people across North East London. However Thames Water’s responsibility doesn’t lie just there. The environment is at the heart of our business. We also have some incredibly rich and diverse habitats within our catchment so we do all we can to conserve them. We recognise the importance of these habitats for wildlife, along with the positive impact on local communities, benefitting their health, wellbeing and quality of life. Did you know we have over 100 sites open for you to explore? We are also proud of our rich industrial heritage bringing clean water to London for over 400 hundred years!  This site has helped supply clean water for over 100 years. As you walk around the site you will see old and new in water supply heritage, from the Coppermills Water Treatment works to the Grade II listed Coppermills Tower.
