Festive Garland Making Workshop
Sunday 9th December, 1.30-3.30pm
Do something different this Christmas and join us on Sunday 9th December between 2 - 3.30pm for a festive garland making workshop with Borrowed Light Floral Studio. During the workshop, you will learn how to make a garland from scratch using sweet-smelling moss and pine and also how to mix various seasonal foliage and decorations to add exuberant colour and texture. You will be shown how to bind all the materials carefully together to create a garland 1.5m long which can be placed over a fireplace, along the centre of a dinner table or draped on a door. There will be plenty of opportunity for 1-2-1 demonstrations and also plenty of time to get creative - with mince pies and mulled wine being served for all attendees. The workshop will be a fun, artistic and imaginative way to learn a new skill and spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon at Europe's largest urban wetland nature reserve whilst the garland to take-home will make for a special gift or home decoration to celebrate the festive period in style.
Tickets cost £40 per person including all materials for garland, glass of mulled wine and mince pie. The workshop will take place at the Engine House, 2 Forest Road, N17 9NH.
